Session Description:
Living in LA, we must be prepared for all contingencies. Would our 50,000 students be able to simultaneously use the emergency page on their phones while hiding from a shark-infested tornado?
We designed an AWS setup that gives us the redundancy, security, scalability, and reliability we need for high-profile sites without the higher cost of a scalable full stack environment.
Learn how we addressed requirements for two of our most important sites, the University Homepage and the Emergency Status site:
- 10k+ daily visitors, plus scalable for traffic spikes
- Up time with multiple 9’s
- Decreased loading times
- Public facing application administered by WordPress
In this session, we will discuss how we implemented this change including:
