WPCampus Slack channels

With so many unique conversations, we aim to keep topics segmented into topic-focused channels.

The following is a complete list of our public Slack channels. Find the channel that’s right for your question or area of focus.

List of WPCampus Slack channels

There are 40 channels.


Topic: We'd love to hear about any project or work successes you've had recently.
Purpose: This channel is for central communication and announcements. To invite new members to the Slack team, have them fill out our membership form.


Topic: We encourage all new members to say hello and share a little bit about themselves.
Purpose: We encourage all new members to say hello and share a little bit about themselves. It’s a great way for everyone to learn about new members and for you to introduce yourself to our workspace.


Topic: This channel is for job searching and postings.
Purpose: A place to list Higher Ed related job postings.


Purpose: A place for us to discuss and share all things accessibility! We host a casual bi-weekly meeting to discuss accessibility. Check out the channel's pinned post for more information.


Purpose: Talk about life at an academic medical center


Purpose: Share what you are doing in your schools here


Purpose: A place for developers to share experiences and ask questions.


Topic: Meetings for this committee take place on the third Thursday of every month at 1 p.m. CST.
Purpose: Home of the WPCampus Diversity and Inclusion committee. Resources and conversation about Diversity & Inclusion in the WPCampus community.


Purpose: Everything about divi

Purpose: For folks to talk about Drupal


Purpose: Ask about emoji, talk about emoji, talk *only* in emoji, do your thing.


Purpose: A place for the group to share and discuss events, WPCampus and otherwise.


Topic: Full Site Editing: Fallout or Fantastic?
Purpose: Full Site Editing


Purpose: I believe this was originally created to post Github notifications from our repos. But it hasn’t been used in a while. Feel free to use it to chat about Github if you like.


Purpose: Discussion area for integrating services (Kaltura, Blackboard, etc.) and APIs with WordPress. Questions, recommendations, issues, announcements, and opinions welcome!


Topic: Please share the name of your mascot, a photo of your mascot, and a link to a webpage with more info about your mascot!

Purpose: We’re talking about campus multi-sites and the processes, development, and collaboration we can accomplish with it! :muscle:


Topic: Desk chairs and ergonomic mice and mechanical keyboards and monitors and standing desks, etc
Purpose: A place to talk about desk chairs and ergonomic keyboards and any other office equipment you need.


Purpose: A place for folks to talk about non-higher ed WordPress topics.


Purpose: A place to chat about front-end performance.


Purpose: Discussion area for Wordpress Plugins. Questions, recommendations, issues, announcements, and opinions welcome!


Purpose: A place to talk about publishing and online textbooks.


Topic: Non-work banter and water cooler conversation
Purpose: A place for non-work-related flimflam, faffing, hodge-podge or jibber-jabber you'd prefer to keep out of more focused work-related channels.


Purpose: This channel is a place to only post RFPs or discuss the general nature of RFPs. Any communication or follow up about a specific RFP should be done privately.


Topic: A place to chat about running. For fitness. Because it’s a thing people like to do.


Purpose: All about security in WordPress.


Purpose: Discussion of Wordpress integration with Shibboleth SSO

Purpose: A place to chat web components aka custom HTML elements.


Purpose: A place for faculty and people who support faculty to discuss the use of WP for course management, course integration, e-portfolios or student websites.


Purpose: A place to talk all things WP-CLI, the command-line interface for WordPress.
