WPCampus is excited to launch a large-scale research project on “the state of WordPress in higher education” in partnership with our friends at Human Made.

This project aims to spotlight the challenges, goals, frustrations, hopes, and dreams of people working with WordPress in higher education. We'll examine organizational considerations, tech stacks, governance, and much more. WPCampus and Human will share all of our findings publicly.

WPCampus and Human Made want the community to be a big part of this project. We want you to help us define and shape the research themes and questions.

We want this research project to examine the topics and themes that matter most to university web operations. Topics for the research project may include:

  • Priorities and challenges for the year academic ahead
  • How web operations support your digital strategy
  • How decisions made by WordPress core leadership affect your work
  • Resource management
  • The WordPress roadmap
  • Performance, security, and accessibility
  • Themes, plugins, and tools
  • Delivering more with limited resources
  • Career progress
