Rollbacks, Recovery and Rebuilding: Lessons Learned from What Went Wrong
In higher education, we often describe our projects as “building the plane while we fly it”. While that approach can lead to success, mistakes happen, whether it’s a mistimed rollout, a bug that snuck through testing, or something else entirely. And when you crash-land, that’s when it’s time to dig the black box out of the wreckage and learn from what went wrong.
By popular request, on Thursday, June 11, 2026, WPCampus will host “Rollbacks, Recovery & Rebuilding: Lessons Learned from What Went Wrong”, a free half-day virtual summit on projects that didn’t quite go according to plan. We’re inviting our community (if you’re reading this, that’s you!) to share their stories of mistakes, miscommunications, bugs, breakdowns, glitches, gremlins, and what they learned from these experiences.
The Call for Proposals is open until Thursday, May 07, 2026, so don’t wait to submit. Each 45-minute session of the event will consist of three 10-minute “lightning talks” followed by a 15-minute shared Q&A with all three speakers.
And for those who just want to attend, registration is now open here. We can’t wait to see you!
