Here are just a few of the higher-ed-focused sessions from this year’s event:

Join our monthly accessibility discussions

Starting in July, WPCampus will begin hosting monthly community discussions focused on digital accessibility. The discussions will take place on the second Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

Register for the monthly accessibility discussions

These discussions will be a relaxed/informal gathering where participants can ask questions, discuss relevant topics, showcase their work, network, and actively participate in our collective learning.

For our July 10 discussion, we will have a special guest: Brian DeConinck! You may remember Brian from his work with WPCampus for the Gutenberg accessibility audit. Brian is now a Platform Governance Accessibility Specialist for the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

Brian shared with us the following description for his discussion:

“How you ask for information can create — or remove — accessibility barriers! The US Department of Veterans Affairs sponsored a series of usability studies with Veterans who use assistive tech to better understand how users approach complex form workflows. Join friend of WPCampus and higher ed alum Brian DeConinck as he shares lessons learned in form design from his work with the VA.”

The discussions will take place in Zoom. Registering for the discussions is required. You can register for each month and receive reminders through Zoom. We hope you can join us!
