Podcast: WordPress in Higher Education

WPCampus is a community and conference for web professionals, educators and people dedicated to the confluence of WordPress in higher education. Today will be a very general overview of WPCampus and talking about the conference but we want this to be the beginning of a weekly show where we can discuss topics relevant to our community, share tutorials and walkthroughs, broadcast the types of sessions you might see at a conference, and more!

For this episode, we are joined by WPCampus members Rachel Cherry, Jonathan Perlman, Curtiss Grymala, Sara Clark, and Chris Flannagan.

Jonathan Perlman

Jonathan Perlman is an experienced web developer and teacher who works for Dawson College in Montreal, Quebec. He builds custom web solutions for the students, faculty and staff. Recently he’s been leveraging WordPress more and more to do the heavy lifting while focusing on the needs of the institution with custom themes and plugins. Some of his sites have been built for a select few whereas others are visited by 12,000+ applicants. Jonathan is also an instructor for Dawson’s Centre for Training and Development specializing in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, PHP and WordPress.

Curtiss Grymala

I am a web developer who has been working with WordPress multisite in higher education since 2007.

Sara Clark

Sara Clark has been providing digital leadership for higher education and nonprofits throughout her career. As operations director for Higher Education Web Professionals Association, she coordinates the day-to-day functions and helps lay the groundwork for future growth.
